Our Financial Accountability
The bulk of financial gifts to the Center of Hope have always come from churches and individuals. In more recent years, a large number of businesses, service organizations, and individuals in the community have become regular financial supporters.
Some grant funds are received from Parker County United Way and other corporate and private foundations. We are always open to new foundation grants, especially those that will allow us to better support client family needs for housing, utilities, prescriptions, and medical. In the summer, we need more support for Children’s Ministries with Camp Hope, including materials, staffing, and food for sack lunches distributed daily to hungry children.
Parker County Center of Hope was fully audited by a Weatherford CPA firm in the spring of 2008 with a positive report. Financial statements, complete with current and Year to Date Profit and Loss statements, restricted funds report, and comparison with annual budget are presented to the Board of Directors at each monthly meeting. These statements are available for individual viewing in the office of the Executive Director or Finance Manager during regular business hours.
All gifts are acknowledged promptly with a receipt and note of thanks. Annually, all donors receive a statement of total donations made during the calendar year.
