Computer Classes offered at the Center of Hope
The classes are offered free as a co-op program between the Weatherford Center of Hope (COH), Weather College continuing education (WC) and the Texas Workforce Solutions Center of Parker and Palo Pinto counties (TWSC).
All instructors have been registered and certified thru the WC based on work experience and education. The program’s goal is to provide PC training to job seekers with little to no computer expertise that will assist them in competing within today’s job market.
COH provides the training facilities. WC provides certificates of completion for each segment and continuing education credits. Participant’s eligibility and signup are handled through the TWSC.
The segments are:
- Computer systems – Windows OS navigation, software, hardware, internet access.
- Microsoft Office 2007 - WORD documents
- Microsoft Office 2007 – EXCEL spreadsheets
- Microsoft Office 2007 – Power Point presentations
- Quick Books - setting up a customer
The total program runs approximately 10 weeks. All classes are credited at an introductory college course level. The classes are designed to teach by utilizing extensive hands on training at the COH facility.
