Daily Meal Program

COH Dining RoomThe Center of Hope kitchens feed both the spirit and bodies of our clients, Monday thru Thursday at Weatherford-Center, Tuesday thru Thursday-Aledo Center. Because we are a warming kitchen only, volunteers usually prepare meals at home and bring them to the Center.

Whether it’s spaghetti & salad, meatloaf & mashed potatoes, or soup & sandwiches, the meals are served to clients in a restuaruant-style atmosphere in our dining room. Each client receives prayer along with their meal and volunteers have the opportunity to minister to clients over a cup of coffee.

Church groups, businesses, and community groups rotate through our kitchen. Several local businesses donate to supply food for small groups who can’t prepare all the food, but have volunteers to come to the Center and work in the kitchen. An average of 60 meals are served daily at the Weatherford location and 25 meals daily at East Parker County location in Aledo.

It usually takes 6-10 volunteers to take orders, prepare drinks, dish out food, clean tables, etc. Because disposable dishes are used, clean up is minimal. Ministry through the kitchen is a fun and rewarding experience for you, your family, your friends, or your group.

Each of the Churches of Hope has a kitchen contact person. Search here to see if your church is a Church of Hope. If not, contact us to find out how you can help your neighbor in need.

If your friends or community group would like to serve in the kitchen, please contact us to get more information. We also need individuals who will come and pray with people and help get tea & coffee started and the ovens warming in the mornings.
