“God Unites Father and Daughter”
A long time client often visits me when he comes to the Center. Today, he seemed very “out of sorts” when he came by for his regular visit. “What’s bothering you,” I asked. Quickly, he expressed, “I am concerned about my daughter because I haven’t spoken with her or heard from her in a long time.”
He told me that he always heard from her around Christmas and he was worried that her ex-boyfriend, who had recently been released from prison for drug related charges, had reunited with her. I asked him for her name and prayed heavily after he left for God to please make a way for her to get in contact with her father so that he could enjoy some peace over the holiday season.
I went to lunch and upon my return, checked my emails and found one with a sender the same name as his daughter. Much to my excitement, it was his daughter. She had emailed to ask if someone at Center of Hope would please let her father know she loved him and that she was okay. If we knew where he was, could we please take him her phone number so she could talk to him.
I immediately printed out the email and took it to him and shared my joy in being a part of this answered prayer for a father to be reunited with his daughter.
The most amazing part was after I returned and I checked the time on the incoming email…it was sent before I had even asked God for help. He had taken care of everything before I was even aware of the need. We serve a great God!
