Our logo tells a lot about us. Surrounded by rays of light against a red background is the outline of a lighthouse. Bringing light where there has been mostly darkness is what we are all about.
In fact, one of our newer ministries, Career Closet, is designed to help women getting back into the work force with clothing and accessories they may need. More importantly, the ladies in this ministry offer mentoring to help with getting a life back on track and pointed in the direction God is leading.
They describe “light” this way:“We can offer to our clients open-armed Love plus Insight from our own experiences, and we can point them to God’s Grace where there is Hope for all their Tomorrows.”
Our Missions Statement is: Center of Hope is a Christian ministry dedicated to reversing the cycle of poverty in Parker County.
Since 1998, we have served Weatherford and surrounding areas with food, household goods, some financial assistance with utilities, and the message of Hope in Jesus. In 2005, we opened a second Center in Aledo. Now, we serve more than 500 families each month from all over the county with a variety of resources including education and job skills training.
More than 40 churches and 40 businesses, plus community organizations and scores of individuals now partner with us in this important ministry. Dozens of volunteers serve daily in both locations to make this all work to God’s glory. Come and visit one of the Centers in Weatherford or Aledo and find your place of ministry alongside us!
